Book of Revelation, Book of Truth – Introduction

As we have discussed previously, the Bible is full of prophecies. Some of them have been fulfilled, even within the pages of the Bible itself. Some have been fulfilled since the last words of the Bible were written. And some are unfulfilled.

Of this last category, the greatest number sit within the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible. Understand the prophecies of the Book of Revelation, and you have the key to knowing what the future holds for mankind in the run up to the Second Coming of Christ.

But what kind of writing do we find in the Book of Revelation? Well at first appearance it is a chaotic, confusing, hallucinogenic hotchpotch of symbolism and events. What can it all mean?

As a consequence, many Christians ignore the Book of Revelation altogether.

Nonetheless, over the centuries, various saints and scholars have given their interpretations of the writings therein. But for the most part these lack credibility and authenticity. Why? Well, usually these are human interpretations of a text that was put together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and which speaks of supernatural events.

Maybe what we really need to interpret these Divine Revelations is some actual Divine assistance.

And that is one of the major themes in the messages of Maria Divine Mercy, also known as the Book of Truth:

My dearest beloved daughter tell My children that no man has the knowledge or the authority to reveal the truth contained in the Book of Revelation.

No matter how knowledgeable they may consider themselves to be, it is only I, Jesus Christ, Saviour and Redeemer of mankind who has the authority to reveal, to the world, what is contained in the Book of Truth.

Only, I, the Lamb of God has the right to deliver the truth, given to my disciple John the Evangelist, the instrument of the truth, to the world today.

… The Book of Revelation, given to John the Evangelist by the Power of the Holy Spirit, has been ignored by My Christian Churches. It is rarely discussed, and many in My Church dismiss it as being irrelevant.

The time has now come for the Truth to be finally spoken and for men to make a choice. Accept the Truth, given to you in the Book of Revelation, and prepare so that all will be in place and pleasing to Me on the Great Day. Or ignore the Word and My Promise to come again. Turn a deaf ear to My Pleas but, remember, I will come like a thief in the night and only those who welcome Me and accept My Mercy will be Mine. …

We then discover that, not only will the Book of Revelation be explained by Maria’s messages from heaven, but that Maria’s Book of Truth is indeed God’s chosen means by which the Book of Revelation will be explained:

… Know that John the evangelist was given the unsealed book – the book of truth – for the world to hear now in these times.

This book was given to him no longer sealed for the seals were already opened. They were then closed and not to be revealed until the end.

This time has come for you to open the Book of Truth and reveal the contents therein for all of God’s children to prepare their souls for eternal life.

The Book of Truth is being revealed to you, the seventh messenger for the end times.

By the sound of your voice the truth will finally be revealed and the mysteries contained in the Book of Revelation will be presented to a disbelieving world. …

My dearly beloved daughter the time is close for the final mysteries of God the Most High to be revealed to the whole world.

Your voice, My daughter, will finally complete God’s plan on earth to reveal the Truth of My Second Coming. …

The words, hidden for so long, and shut up until the end are now pouring from My lips.

No man will be excluded from the Truth. All will be shown the True Word as I prepare, once again, to save mankind from eternal damnation.

The prophecies given to John, and not revealed up to now, are being presented at this time to wake up the world. …

No man knows the Truth of the real contents of the Book of Revelation. Only God knows.

Only I, the Lamb of God, have the authority to reveal what they contain. I do this now through My messenger Maria Divine Mercy who will convey My Words, not hers, to a disbelieving world. …

God willing, my intention over the next few weeks is to step through the contents of the Book of Revelation and, where possible, provide extracts from Maria’s messages which seem to amplify or explain the Biblical text. I claim no special authority for doing this, other than a good general awareness of Maria’s messages.

I will work through the Book of Revelation in chapter and verse order. This of itself brings an immediate issue: the first four chapters of Revelation do not receive any particular amplification or explanation in Maria’s messages. Using the paragraph headings provided by the New International Version of the Bible, these chapters cover:

  • Chapter 1: Prologue; Greetings and Doxology; John’s Vision of Christ
  • Chapter 2: To the Church at Ephesus / Smyrna / Pergamum / Thyatira
  • Chapter 3: To the Church at Sardis / Philadelphia / Laodicea
  • Chapter 4: The Throne in Heaven

The contents of Chapters 2 and 3 in particular have been a deep mystery to Biblical scholars. Were these “letters to the churches” only for their own time (in the First Century), to the early Christian communities to which they are addressed? Or do they have some symbolic meaning for the Church through the ages, or even just for today? It seems that the mystery is set to continue, at least for now.

Therefore, our survey of the Book of Revelation in the context of Maria Divine Mercy’s messages will begin next time, with Chapter 5.
